Bauer Built Announces The Promotions of Wade Brantner and Andrew Thompson to Vice Presidents

DURAND, WISCONSIN… Bauer Built, Inc. announces the promotion of Wade Brantner to Vice President of Property and Andrew Thompson to Vice President of Technology effective April 1, 2021.  The announcement was revealed during Bauer Built’s Annual Shareholders meeting on March 16, 2021.

Wade Brantner has held various positions with Bauer Built starting February 7, 1990 as the Manager Trainee in Red Wing, MN; to Assistant Store Manager in Cedar Rapids, IA.  He was promoted to the Store Manager position in Wausau, WI; Waterloo, IA; and Durand and Eau Claire, WI.  On February 2005, he transitioned into the corporate office in Durand as the Director of Associate Dealer Programs.  Wade was promoted to Director of Property, Vehicles & Equipment on July 3, 2017.  He is responsible to assist all operating divisions with property, buildings, equipment and vehicle management issues, coordinates and maintains lease agreements by communicating with landlords, tenants, and location managers.  Wade also supervises the company’s safety and risk management department, along with overseeing Bauer Built’s Oil Division, which the company was founded on.

Andrew Thompson started his career with Bauer Built on March 6, 2017 as the Director of Technology.  He came on board with 14 years of technology experience along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Computer Systems from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  Andrew was responsible for the recent network upgrade at all Bauer Built facilities.  He executes information management strategies and services for the entire company and is accountable to ensure the integrity of company data, the availability and accessibility of systems and applications, and the usability and relevance of business information for decision making.

Bauer Built, founded in 1944 by G. F. “Sam” Bauer, has been in business 77 years.  The original business was a bulk petroleum business but shortly after, in January 1945 the company began selling tires and related services.  Bauer Built has 33 Tire and Service Centers, 6 Michelin Retread plants, and 2 wheel-refinishing operations, all spread across nine Midwest states.
